Meet the NeoSoul Team
ChaKeita Dickson
Founder • Retreat Host
ChaKeita started her yoga journey after an injury at work over 20 years ago. The physical benefits were apparent; however, the balance and peace kept her coming back. After attending a Yoga Retreat her intrigue and love for yoga blossomed. As her many roles of mother, spouse and professional intensified she stayed consistent with meditation and breathework for balance. With a BA in Business and Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction she has deepened her knowledge to be a vessel through education, becoming 200YTT certified in 2020. Asana (poses), pranayama (breathe), and meditation are a staple in ChaKeita’s life and have been pivotal in a continued journey of self-love. Yoga has been key to unlocking joy and maintaining inner peace. ChaKeita enjoys concerts, laughter, nature, quiet time, and moments with her family and friends. A desire to share the benefits of yoga with women of color and allies is what influenced ChaKeita to become a yoga instructor.
One of ChaKeita’s favorite quotes is by Arthur Ashe: “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” A wonderful reminder that wherever we are on our journey is exactly where we should be, the rest will fall in place! As an instructor ChaKeita will meet you where you are. This is all a journey…and this journey is why she started teaching yoga and founded NeoSoulYoga, LLC.
